I want to share some exciting news about my practice! Marc L. Kozam, MD has joined MedStar Health, effective October 1, 2025. I believe this transition is important for the long-term direction of the practice and will enhance our ability to serve your needs.
Our location and contact information have not changed. Our practice is now named MedStar Health Gastroenterology at Olney.
MedStar Health is the largest health system in Maryland and the Washington, D.C., region. We share their mission to provide state-of-the-art care, personalized to your needs, enhanced by the latest technology. I have enjoyed a special relationship as part of the leadership at Medstar Montgomery Medical Center and Medstar Health for many years. I can attest that, as a non-profit organization, quality, safety, serving the needs of our patients and community always takes priority.
I know that joining MedStar Health will give you access to more services and better continuity of care, regardless of whether your primary physician is at MedStar or at one of the many independent practices in the Olney area.
We look forward to continuing to provide the care that you’ve come to know and expect from our practice. I will continue to be your gastroenterologist, and the staff you’ve come to know will continue as well.
Enclosed is a list of insurance/health plans accepted by MedStar Health. We expect most plans will continue to be accepted, however, please check with your plan to verify participation and coverage.
You do not need to do anything. Your existing records remain available, and you remain an established patient in my practice. We will continue to send reminders for anticipated screening procedures.
